The Benton Community Foundation’s COVID-19 Response Fund dispersed its first round of emergency grants this week, as reported in the Philomath Express. Recipients include The Alsea Valley Gleaners, Marys River Gleaners, Coastal Range Food Bank and Jeni’s Place (emergency food services for needy community members); and We Care of Corvallis/Benton County, United Way of Linn, Benton & Lincoln Counties and the Boys & Girls Club of Corvallis (affordable childcare for critical workforce employees).

New grants will be awarded twice a month to community nonprofits serving Benton County residents most affected by the COVID-19 crisis. The fund is fueled by donations from the community. To donate, please go to
