Portable handwashing stations

The Corvallis Advocate recently ran a story about the Portable Handwashing Station Project, which is mobilizing volunteers to build, place and maintain handwashing stations around Benton County.

The stations, which are human-powered, made out of simple materials, and kept stocked with soap and clean water, are being placed at homeless shelters and camps, as well as workplaces without access to running water. The project is now partnering with the COVID Response Collective, a new Pacific Northwest-based nonprofit, to produce the handwashing stations at a location in Philomath.
